Chevy recently introduced the Premier Plus special editions for the Tahoe and Suburban. These full-size SUVs will now have an available 6.2-liter V8 engine, as well as added performance and interior features. With a smooth, capable ride, the Tahoe and Suburban ensure you always have the right combination of performance and practicality.

According to Chevrolet, every Premier Plus special edition of the Tahoe and Suburban is available with an optional 6.2-liter Performance Package, which also has Magnetic Ride Control to enhance the suspension and a Hydra-Matic 10-speed transmission for improved speed. The 6.2-liter engine has 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

“Our customers have shown strong demand for both Tahoe and Suburban with the 6.2L V-8 option,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Trucks Marketing and Advertising. “Thirty-six percent of all Chevy full-size SUV special edition models are now sold with this engine. Premier Plus gives both Suburban and Tahoe customers another option to choose from with several added premium touches.”

Other features on the latest versions of the Tahoe and Suburban include heated and ventilated leather front seats, 22-inch alloy wheels, distinct badging, and a head-up display system that pairs with an 8-inch digital cluster to keep you up to date on all the driver information you need.

For more than 40 years, Canaan has celebrated Pony Express riders during the annual Canaan Fall Festival and the Canaan Pony Express run. This annual festival has fun for everyone.

The Pony Express run covers a 12-mile trek from Canaan to Madison and replicates part of the first Pony express relay ride that started on April 3, 1860. The modern-day riders carry a mochila – a saddlebag – loaded with as many as 1,500 letters.

Even if you don’t plan to participate in the relay ride, you’ll still have plenty of amazing things to experience during the festival, which takes place Sept. 7-8. There’s a parade, live music, contests, a flea market, and games for children. A carriage ride through Madison will delight your kids.

September is filled with incredible events. Here’s a few to mark on your calendar:

The Rockin’ on the River car classic car show will be Sept. 1, and feature 350 vehicles, including motorcycles, muscle cars, and antique cars.

There’s plenty of music, too – Music at the Lanier Mansion on Sept. 8, and Music in the Park on Sept. 14. Hispanic Cultural Awareness Day, with music, food and dance, will take place on Sept. 15. The Mayor’s Movie in the Park, which is set for Sept. 21, is great for kids.

Jumanji is an adventure movie like none other, blending the line between imagination and reality. This flick will delight audiences young and old, calling out to the adventurous spirit in us all.

The new service allows Amazon Prime members to have their packages delivered directly to their publicly-parked vehicle at no additional cost. The service requires your vehicle to be from the 2015 model year or newer and have an active OnStar account, which connects to Amazon Key. To set up the service, you must download the Amazon Key App and link your Amazon and OnStar accounts. Now, when you order a package from Amazon, you can select the “In-Car” delivery option and have your package delivered to your car when it’s parked in convenient places like outside your apartment building or in your workplace’s parking lot. Through the app, you’ll get notifications when the package is on its way, when it’s delivered, and when your vehicle has been relocked.
