2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Makes Trailering Even Easier

The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 comes with a new Multi-Flex Tailgate, enhanced trailering technologies, and improved towing capacity, making it easier than ever to get a tough job done or go on adventures.

Multi-Flex Tailgate

With the new Multi-Flex Tailgate, the 2021 Silverado 1500 offers customers six unique tailgate configurations, transforming your pickup bed into a truly diverse and capable tool. The tailgate can be configured to enhance access to the bed, provide various loading solutions, or be transformed into a standing workstation. It can also hold 375 pounds, making it well suited for hard work.

Enhanced trailering tech

The Silverado 1500 comes with five enhanced trailering technologies for 2021, including three brand-new ones. The latter include a Trailer Length Indicator, Jack-Knife Alert system, and Carbo Bed Zoom View and Bed Hitch Guidance features, all of which make trailering easier than ever. Additionally, the truck gives you an enhanced view of the trailer’s side as well as of trailer angle indicators that make it easier to reverse a trailer into place.

Extra towing capacity

The Silverado 1500 was never a slouch when it came to towing capacity, but Chevrolet still gave it some nice improvements for 2021. Compared to the 2020 model year, the 2.7-liter turbo engine and the 3.0-liter Duramax® turbodiesel both add over a thousand pounds of trailering capacity regardless of configuration, while also offering excellent fuel economy.
